We get a real kick out of the stories you send us. Like each plate, each story is unique, fun and one of a kind. We'd love you to share it with us. Rest assured we respect your privacy and won't share any of your details with anyone else.

From time to time we think a story is just too good (or your combination is so clever) that it would be a shame not to share it with more people. In these cases we might try and get in touch with you for more information and give you the option of having a professional photograph taken with your car.

Hi all, my name is Melissa - but since getting my custom plate I am known everywhere as Mattel.

I bought this plate as soon as the flamingo pink was available. Then the wait was next...2 years later I bought my Honda Civic and my plates were on the road on display.

So what's Mattel? It's the company which makes Hot Wheels, Barbies and Uno. I am still young at heart. I have a vivid Hot Wheels diecast car collection and a strange fascination in the colour pink and all things girly.

I was raised as a car afficionardo, hence why I find myself working for Honda :)

Overall I thank VicRoads for letting me express a little piece of me everytime I go out for a drive :)

P.S. I have also set up a group on Facebook for those who, like me, love pink number plates. It's called Pink Number Plate Appreciation. Yay for pink plates!!
