Competition Entry Terms and Conditions

These are the Terms and Conditions for the 2024 VicRoads AADA Convention Competition (‘Competition’) that are located at

Competition and Promoter

1.1. By entering the 2024 VicRoads AADA Convention Competition (‘Competition’) each person agrees to be bound by, abide by and observe the Competition Entry Terms and Conditions. Entrant means a person who completes and submits a completed Competition entry form (‘Entry’) via the Competition webpage (‘Entrant’)

but that Entrant cannot an Associate of the Promoter

2. Who may enter?

2.1. Subject to paragraph 2.2, entry into the Competition is open to all visitors of the 2024 AADA Convention aged 18 and over at the time the Entry is lodged on the Competition Webpage.

2.2. Any person who is an associate of the Promoter cannot participate in the Competition (‘Associate’).  Associate means employees, business partners, event organisation employees, contractors or spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister or first cousin of employees, business partners, event organisation employees or contractors.

2.3. No joint entry is accepted in this Competition.

3. Competition Period

3.1. The Competition commences at 7.00am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Wednesday 24 July 2024 and closes at 11.00am AEST on Thursday 25 July 2024 (‘Competition Period’). Entries are deemed to be received at the time of entry on the Competition webpage and not at the time of submission by the Entrant.

3.2. Entries will only be accepted during the Competition Period. This means late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise are not accepted.

4. How to enter

4.1. Entry into this Competition is only available through the Competition webpage, https://vplates.com.au/competitions/2024-AADA-Competition

4.2. An Entrant to this Competition must complete the Competition entry form by:

  1. entering your first name, surname, email address and telephone number and company name; and
  2. reading and accepting these Competition Entry Terms and Conditions, as well as the Collection Notice and Privacy Policy.

5. Disqualification of an Entry

5.1. Each Entrant is limited to only one Competition entry. Any subsequent entry will be automatically disqualified from the Competition.

6. Selection and Notification

6.1. Selection of the Prize Winner will be conducted by the Promoter at 11.30am AEST on Thursday 25 July 2024 at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf VIC 3006.
 
6.2. At the end of the Competition Period, all Entries will go into a random draw and one entry will be declared the winning entry (‘Prize Winner’). The random draw is conducted in a manner where each entry has an equal chance of being drawn.

6.3. The decision to award a Prize Winner in relation to any and all aspects of the Competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into about the awarding a Prize Winner.

6.4. The Prize Winner will be notified at 11.30am AEST Thursday 25 July 2024 in person at the VicRoads AADA Exhibition Booth or by telephone using the details supplied in the Entry. The Prize Winner must be physically present at VicRoads AADA Exhibition Booth to be confirmed as Prize Winner by 11.45am AEST Thursday 25 July 2024  (‘Due Date’). 

6.5 Identification and/or proof of age must be provided to the Promotor via email prior to being awarded the Prize.

6.6 If the Prize Winner is not physically present at the Announcement by the Due Date to be confirmed as the Competition Winner, a Replacement Prize Winner will be selected. A Replacement Prize Winner must physically present at VicRoads AADA Exhibition Booth to be confirmed as Replacement Prize Winner by 1.00pm AEST Thursday 25 July 2024 (‘Acknowledgement Date’). 

6.7 If no acknowledgement is received from the Replacement Prize Winner by the Acknowledgement Date, another Replacement Prize Winner will be sought until the Prize is awarded in accordance with these Competition Terms and Conditions.

7. Prize

7.1 In participating in the Competition, a Prize Winner will, in accordance with these Competition Entry Terms and Conditions, win a Nintendo SwitchTM Console, a Mario Kart 8TM Deluxe for Nintendo Switch and Hori Mario Kart Racing Wheel Pro Mini for Nintendo Switch (‘Prize’).

7.2 The estimated value of the Prize is AU$717 (including GST).

7.3 No part of the Prize is transferable or exchangeable. The Prize is not redeemable for cash and must be accepted as offered.

7.4 The value of any part of the Prize between now and the Prize redemption date may vary in value.

8. Receiving the Prize

8.1. The Prize will be provided in person to the Prize Winner at 11.30am AEST Thursday 24 July, unless the Prize Winner is a Replacement Prize Winner.

8.2 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for a Prize Winner’s or Replacement Prize Winner’s failure to receive a Prize due to an error or omission by the Prize Winner or Replacement Prize Winner, or any alteration, tampering with, theft or destruction of the Prize.

8.3 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for a Prize after it is provided to a Prize Winner or Replacement Prize Winner.

9. Consent to collection and use of Personal Details

9.1 By entering the Competition and supplying the details as required on the Entry, each Entrant agrees to the Promoter collecting and using the Entrant’s personal information in accordance with the Privacy Collection Notice and Privacy Policy.
